Region 3 Title

Congratulations to our Varsity Boys team on winning the Region 3 championship. This is our 8th or 9th year in a row, with 8 straight undefeated seasons, a current Region winning streak of 67 meets.

Last evening we had some great results from all of our runners.

In Jr. High girls' action, Karley P. placed 2nd, Kyla S. 3rd, Cassidy B. 5th, and Emily D. was 9th.  Good job girls!

In the boys' race, Liam S. was 3rd, Isaac L. was 4th (with a great sprint finish), and Nathan D. was 7th.  Nice job!

In Varsity, the girls team was led by Beka M. in 2nd, Emily S. in 3rd, and Erika C. in 4th.  There were 17 girls in the race, so this is quite a performance!

In the boys' race, Brad won, followed by Garrett in 2nd, Gabe in 4th, and Wesley rounding out the top 5.

The course is very short so times were fast...which makes them irrelevant.  We race other athletes, not the clock, anyhow.

McDowell Results

Here is a link to the McDowell Invitational results.

http://bigwhitetrailer.com/timing/results_2015/20150905McDowell.php

It was a very decent start to our season. There were many bright spots, 6 medals overall, and some areas where we need to see improvement.  It was a typical first race.

It is always exciting to see kids do better than what they expect.  We saw some of that today!

Time Trials

Check out the results for our two Time Trials.  Our upcoming race this weekend at McDowell is a first look at the 2015 team. It's been a great opening couple of weeks.  This weekend will be a good gauge of our progress.  Hope to see you at McDowell on Saturday.

Also, we will not be practicing Friday as we've earned a day off. Rest is the key.

Practices

Three practices down, three solid efforts.

We have 26 runners as of now which is our most in many years.  It's a good sign.  We are still recruiting for the next couple of weeks; we will continue to take runners until the 2nd week of school.

Many new faces this year = I'm happy.

Attitude and Effort!  I'm pleased with both.
